How we work with clients: scope, payment, approvals and who owns what. Every project is also covered by a signed Statement of Work, which wins if the two disagree.

Last updated on the publish date.

  1. Scope. The Statement of Work sets out what we make, the formats, the timeline and the price. Anything outside it is a change, quoted and agreed in writing before work starts.
  2. Payment. A deposit before work begins (usually 50%), the balance on delivery, unless the Statement of Work says otherwise. Invoices are due within 14 days. If payment is late we may pause work and charge interest as the law allows.
  3. Approvals. You approve each stage (brief, story, script, key frames, first cut, final) before the next begins. A stage is approved when you say so in writing, or 5 working days after delivery with no comments.
  4. Revisions. Each stage includes two rounds of changes. More are billed at the agreed rate.
  5. Ownership. When you have paid in full, you own the final deliverables. We keep our tools, templates, methods and any material not used in the final work. Licensed footage, music and fonts pass to you under their own licences, which we list for you.
  6. Showing the work. We may show the finished work in our portfolio unless you ask us not to in writing.
  7. Your materials. You confirm you have the rights to everything you give us (logos, footage, data, scripts) and that we may use it for the project. You are responsible for claims arising from it.
  8. Confidentiality. Both sides keep the other's confidential information private, during the project and after it.
  9. Personal data. Where we process personal data for you, for example learner data in a course, we sign a data processing agreement first.
  10. Liability. Our total liability for a project is limited to the fees paid for it. Neither side is liable for indirect loss or lost profits. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
  11. Cancellation. Either side may end a project in writing. You pay for work done to that date and costs we cannot recover.
